Job Title Human Services Program Consultant (260003T8) Department Department of Children and Youth Location Children & Youth N. High Complex, 246 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215 Work Hours Mon-Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with start times ranging from 7:00–9:00 am. Position performs daily on‑site work at DCY office. Job Summary As a Home Visiting Program Consultant, you will partner with local agencies to provide expert guidance, monitor program quality, and support families receiving prenatal‑to‑five home visiting services. Responsibilities Lead & Support: Guide local home‑visiting programs with technical assistance, best practices, and on‑site visits. Collaborate: Build strong partnerships with community organizations and state programs. Drive Quality: Monitor, evaluate, and improve program performance and compliance. Innovate: Work with data systems and analyze trends to strengthen services. Educate: Represent the program at workshops, conferences, and community events. Qualifications Completion of an undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, health, pre‑medicine, or comparable field. At least 18 months experience delivering human services, healthcare services, or medical assistance in governmental, community, or private agencies. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and data analysis skills. Knowledge of home‑visiting models and state systems is a plus. Pay Information Starting salary is step 1 of the associated salary range. New hires advance to the next step after 6 months and annually thereafter. Hourly rates range from $31.74 (step 1) to $44.39 (step 8). Annual salaries range from $66,019 (step 1) to $92,331 (step 8).
