Staff Accountant Full Time Regular Professionals Livermore, CA, Livermore, CA, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 2834 Salary Range: $65,200.00 To $100,600.00 Annually The specific pay rate and level will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location. “A Day in the Life” We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role will perform a variety of corporate accounting activities, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements, maintain internal controls, and support external audit activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid accounting foundation, and a desire to continuously learn and grow in a dynamic accounting environment. This position plays a critical role in monthly close activities, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and audit support. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ownership, and accountability. “What You’ll Do” Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process. Analyze financial transactions and investigate variances to ensure accurate financial reporting. Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close responsibilities. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany balances and other corporate accounts ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items. Reconcile general ledger accounts to supporting systems and subledgers, investigate variances and discrepancies, and ensure all assigned reconciliations are completed within reporting deadlines. Support preparation of monthly management reporting packages and financial analyses. Prepare schedules and reports supporting internal and external financial reporting requirements. Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, documentation, and account analyses. Assist with ad hoc financial reporting requests and special projects. Assist with SOX compliance and internal control documentation related to assigned processes. Ensure financial reporting is in compliance with company accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen accounting processes and controls. Perform other duties as assigned “Must Haves” 1–3+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Intermediate Excel skills, including basic formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. “Nice to Haves” Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Public accounting or audit experience. Experience with lease accounting, deferred revenue, or revenue recognition. Exposure to ASC 842 and/or ASC 606. Experience supporting external audits and preparing account reconciliations.
