Position summary: Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service Technicians are skilled and looking to grow within their career. This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC-R systems. Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus! Starting pay ranges from $25-$42+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• HVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
• Start-up of installed commercial HVAC-R systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of commercial HVAC units.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
• On call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
• 3 years + experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and take direction from supervisors.
• Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
• NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
• Ability to work at heights and varying temperatures.
• Lift 50+ lbs.
• Sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders.
• On the job training is provided.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
