Medical Network Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Network Account Manager based in Australia.

This is an opportunity to shape strategic initiatives that strengthen a large primary healthcare network and improve outcomes for members.
You will identify new business, partnership, and service opportunities across GP, allied health, and international student healthcare networks.
The role combines commercial strategy, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and project delivery in a complex, regulated environment.
You will translate market and customer insights into practical business cases, new operating models, and well-governed initiatives.
Working across internal teams and external partners, you will help deliver programs that enhance commercial, operational, and service performance.
You will have significant influence over how opportunities are evaluated, implemented, measured, and continuously improved.
This is a permanent full-time remote role in New South Wales, with access to a Sydney CBD office and a strong focus on flexibility and collaboration.

Accountabilities

• Deliver strategic business development initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and the needs of the medical network.
• Identify new partnership, service, and market opportunities using customer, competitor, industry, and stakeholder insights.
• Develop compelling business cases, commercial analyses, recommendations, and implementation plans for new products, services, partnerships, and operating models.
• Assess market and stakeholder needs and translate findings into practical initiatives that improve member outcomes and service performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, suppliers, and relevant industry stakeholders.
• Influence stakeholders across multiple functions and establish alignment around strategic priorities, delivery plans, and expected outcomes.
• Support the development and management of partner agreements and coordinate activities across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Establish effective governance frameworks, performance measures, reporting mechanisms, and risk controls to monitor delivery and outcomes.
• Prepare clear commercial and operational recommendations for senior stakeholders, supported by relevant data and analysis.
• Coordinate cross-functional project delivery, ensuring initiatives remain aligned with agreed objectives, timelines, risks, and performance expectations.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency across the network.
• Identify emerging challenges and opportunities, apply sound judgment, and develop practical solutions in an environment where priorities may evolve.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in business development, partnership management, strategic programs, project delivery, or strategic program implementation .
• Experience in a complex, service-based, regulated, or customer-focused environment.
• Background in international business within health insurance, health funds, or insurance is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, including experience developing business cases, interpreting data, and evaluating financial or operational impacts.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively across multiple functions and build productive relationships with partners, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and sound judgment, with the ability to work independently and make decisions in ambiguous or complex situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing business recommendations, reports, presentations, and executive-level updates.
• Ability to translate strategic opportunities and insights into practical implementation plans and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with governance frameworks, supplier or partner management, service design, continuous improvement, or customer and member experience initiatives is highly regarded.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in business, health, commerce, management, project management, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining focus on quality, delivery, and stakeholder expectations.
