Body Imaging RadiologistThe University of Virginia Health System (UVA Health) is seeking a fellowship-trained Body Imaging Radiologist to join our Community Division. This role offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of body imaging in a collegial, supportive environment serving Prince William Hospital, Haymarket Medical Center, Culpeper Hospital, Culpeper Outpatient Imaging Center and Gainesville Outpatient Imaging Center. The position combines the advantages of community-based practice with the resources and academic connections of a leading university health system.The successful candidate will devote approximately 90–95% effort to clinical service and 5–10% to administrative and service activities, with flexibility to adapt as the division evolves.Clinical ResponsibilitiesInterpret a comprehensive range of Body Imaging studies across all major modalities (plain film, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopic GI/GU exams, and non-vascular image-guided procedures).Refine, expand, and improve clinical services in body imaging and related image-guided procedures.Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and provide consultative expertise for referring physicians and technical staff.Collaborate with referring providers to ensure appropriate, high-value use of imaging studies and procedures.Share in the division's clinical schedule and call responsibilities, with occasional coverage at the Culpeper Outpatient Imaging Center.Service & Administrative ResponsibilitiesContribute to quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and patient care process enhancements.Participate in peer review, clinical protocol development, and recruitment/marketing initiatives.Work collaboratively with technologists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality imaging protocols and efficient workflow.Promote a culture of collegiality, inclusivity, and respect within the Division and across UVA Health.Support the professional reputation of UVA Radiology in the communities we serve.QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree; board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.Fellowship training in Body Imaging.Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Strong clinical skills, collaborative mindset, and commitment to patient-centered care.Why Join UVA Health?Practice a broad spectrum of body imaging in a busy, high-quality community setting.Benefit from integration with a nationally recognized academic radiology department.Work with dedicated colleagues in a supportive, team-oriented environment.Live and practice in the growing Northern Virginia region, with close access to Washington, D.C.The base compensation range for this role is $503,453 - $602,506 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status. Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education.
