Position Summary Technical Support Specialist and Programmer – part‑time (hourly) at Weber State University, Ogden, UT. The role involves C# and SQL/database programming on custom projects within Financial Services, web page maintenance and design, and providing desktop and technical support to Faculty, Staff, and Students. The position requires flexibility to work at least 20 hours per week, scheduled around class schedules, primarily between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Develop and maintain C# applications and SQL/database code for custom projects in Financial Services. Perform web page maintenance and design for the department’s web pages. Provide phone, e‑mail, chat, walk‑in, and desktop support for faculty, staff, and students. Collaborate with other technical staff on a varied skill set, supporting computer repair and programming tasks. Attend to a wide variety of technical support requests when other technicians are busy or away. Required Qualifications Current Weber State University student. Experience with C# programming (classroom or professional). Experience with computer setup and maintenance. Ability to program in C# and SQL, and to learn from written and oral instructions. Good customer service and communication skills, and ability to troubleshoot computer and account issues. Web page creation and design knowledge is desired. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Visual Studio. Prior customer service experience and strong computer troubleshooting skills. Graphic design experience. Database programming knowledge. Other Requirements Criminal background check required (as a condition of employment).
