A/P Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the verification and analysis of vendor invoices for daily vouching. This individual will be responsible for documenting payment processes and working closely with the AP Supervisor for Departmental Improvements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIdentifying receipts in ERP systemPerform monthly review of vendor statementsPrepare monthly accrual journal entriesMaintain P-Card and Fuel Card transactions for payment processingReview monthly reconciliationsNotarize documentation as needed for various needs for the businessAssist in Cash ManagementAnalyze workflow processesEstablishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendorsDocument internal controls and segregation of duties within the organizationWork on ad hoc projects and provide support to other staff membersMay be required to perform other related duties as assignedDemonstrate safe working behaviors and conform to all applicable Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and standardsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are respective of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Prior Accounts Payable experience preferred. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (primarily Excel) and ERP systems are required for this position.
