Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry - Assessment & Critical Care Unit

This position requires 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, following a 4 on/4 off schedule with mandatory weekends every other week.

Location: Titusville, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide high acuity patient care in a mixed unit environment, demonstrating strong telemetry experience and rapid response team involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care to adults and geriatrics in a high-acuity mixed unit.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage cardiac drips (no titration).
• Administer medication and maintain IV lines, including central line care.
• Care for patients with chest tubes, post-operative joint replacements, and those experiencing CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident).
• Perform rapid assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in the Rapid Response team as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an RN in a Med Surg/Telemetry or similar setting.
• Current licensure as an RN in Florida or a compact state.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience working with total joints is highly preferred.
• Strong telemetry experience is mandatory.
