Risk Manager

STV is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Risk Management Specialist to join our Project Controls team. This role is critical to supporting successful program and project delivery by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to quality, schedule, and financial performance.The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in construction risk management, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights for project stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesRisk Identification & AssessmentLead and facilitate structured risk identification workshops with project teams and stakeholdersUtilize industry-standard tools and methodologies to identify and evaluate risks impacting project timelines, budgets, and qualityAnalyze project documentation, including schedules, contracts, and site conditions, to uncover vulnerabilitiesPerform cost and schedule uncertainty modeling, including Monte Carlo simulations, to evaluate potential variance from baseline assumptionsDevelop and maintain comprehensive risk registers and event modelsRisk Strategy & Policy DevelopmentDevelop and implement Risk Management Plans (RMPs) aligned with project and program requirementsEstablish standardized risk management processes and frameworks to protect client interestsSupport continuous improvement of risk methodologies, tools, and reporting practicesCollaboration & Stakeholder EngagementPartner with project managers, program leadership, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure integrated risk management across all project phasesProvide risk advisory support to project teams during planning, execution, and closeoutCommunication & ReportingTranslate complex risk assessments into clear, actionable insights for project teams and leadershipPrepare and present risk reports, dashboards, and executive-level summariesFacilitate risk review meetings with internal and client stakeholdersMonitoring & ControlsContinuously monitor projects for emerging risks and changing conditionsUpdate risk mitigation strategies and response plans as neededProvide regular reporting on risk exposure, mitigation progress, and forecast impacts to senior leadershipRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or program risk management within construction, infrastructure, or related industriesCertifications: o Risk Management Professional (RMP), Project Risk Management Professional (PRMP), or Decision & Risk Management Professional (DRMP) preferredo Ability to obtain certification within six (6) months is strongly encouragedKey Skills & CompetenciesAnalytical Expertise: Strong data analysis, modeling, and problem-solving capabilities, including quantitative risk analysisTechnical Skills: Experience with risk modeling tools, schedule analysis, and cost forecasting methodologiesCommunication: Ability to distill complex risk concepts into clear, business-focused insightsCollaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teamsAttention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and process consistencyCompensation Range:$133,635.31 - $152,726.06STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Back-Up Dependent Care • Parental Leave • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
