Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) - Chicago, IL

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Physician to join our growing team of healthcare professionals serving Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and Long-Term Care (LTC) centers. The physician will provide expert wound management, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support our mission of improving patient outcomes through evidence-based wound care.\n

\n
• Perform comprehensive wound assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing wound care management.
\n
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
\n
• Document patient encounters accurately, timely and in compliance with CMS and commercial payer guidelines.
\n
• Educate facility staff on wound prevention, early identification, and treatment practices.
\n
• Ensure compliance with CMS, SNF/LTC regulations, and facility policies.
\n
• Serve as a clinical resource for advanced wound management, including debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, biologics, and advanced dressings.
\n

Qualifications \n

\n
• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
\n
• Surgical experience preferred, but we often hire providers from Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty.
\n
• Wound Care Certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
\n
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or Geriatrics is a bonus.
\n
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with patients and facility staff.
\n

• Annual Earning Potential: $250,000 – $325,000 (full-time equivalent).
