5-Axis CNC Mill MachinistWarminster, PA | $30 to $40 per hour | Full-timeA precision machining manufacturer in Warminster, Pennsylvania is hiring a CNC Mill Setup Machinist. The role covers setting up complex 4-axis and 5-axis jobs on Mazak, Haas, and Chiron milling machines. You will approve first pieces and then hand machines off to operators. You will also train and oversee operators and work with the programmer to keep setups accurate and cycle times on target.ScheduleFull-time, on-site in Warminster, PA.Compensation$30 to $40 per hour, based on setup experience.What You'll DoYou will set up scheduled jobs on 4-axis and 5-axis Mazak, Haas, and Chiron CNC mills, following established manufacturing processes. You will work with the programmer to confirm that setup sheets and job instructions are accurate and complete. Once a setup is running, you will approve the first piece, then hand the machine off to an operator. You will operate machines yourself between setups as needed.You will keep jobs running efficiently by making offset, speed and feed, and rapid edits to improve cycle time, tool life, and part quality. You will inspect deburred parts against drawing specifications using gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, and microscopes. You will document inspection results and follow the procedures for handling nonconforming parts.You will also train and oversee multiple machine operators, flag problems and improvement opportunities to management, and keep your work area safe, clean, and organized.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED2+ years of CNC milling setup experience, including 4-axis or 5-axis workAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprintsExperience making offsets and editing speeds and feeds at the machineExperience with precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparatorsSolid shop math skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for more than 5 hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodationPreferred QualificationsSetup experience on Mazak, Haas, or Chiron machinesExperience with Mazatrol, Haas, Fanuc, or Siemens controlsWorking knowledge of GD&TExperience training or leading machine operatorsExperience in a first article inspection or ISO 9001 quality environmentCompensation and Benefits$30 to $40 per hourMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time off and paid holidaysTo apply, submit your resume through Indeed.
