The Branch Manager is accountable for the overall branch performance. What are the skills necessary for Branch Manager success? Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent team builder and visionary leader. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software or similar. What education and/or experience are needed for success? Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred, Associates degree or continuing professional education in HVAC combined with additional relevant experience may be considered. At least 10 years of progressive, professional experience in the design, installation, service and repair of Industrial HVAC Systems at large (250,000 sq. ft.+) customer facilities in the Grand Rapids market. At least 2 years of experience leading or directing the work of HVAC technicians. Business development, growth strategy, and financial performance management experience including cost estimating and P&L responsibility. Current Type A HVAC license is desirable; but not required EPA 608 certification is a plus. BOMA, IFMA and/or ASHRAE association is desirable.
