Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Telemetry unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients with varying medical conditions, particularly cardiac and respiratory issues.Shift DetailsShift Type: NightsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: 6-9 weekends within a 6-week schedulePotential for Floating: May float within Zone 3 based on operational needsUnit InformationThis position will be based in the MS/Tele 4N unit, which focuses on the following:Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:4 during the day shift; 1:5 during the night shiftPatient Population: Common conditions include Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), hypertension, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.Required Skills: Experience with cardiac drips and post-catheterization care.Care Responsibilities: RNs will be required to titrate various medications, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives.QualificationsMinimum Years of Experience: 2 yearsRequired Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)Work EnvironmentSupport Staff: Nurse aides are available on the unit with a typical ratio of approximately 10-12 patients per aide.Monitoring: Telemetry techs monitor patients 24/7, with RNs co-signing rhythm strips.Equipment: Use of CPAP, HFNC, and NRB devices.SchedulingSelf-scheduling and block scheduling are available for nursing staff.Holiday Requirements: Staff must be available for holiday shifts as needed.Dress CodeAll nursing staff are required to wear navy blue scrubs, with Caribbean blue designated for RNs.OrientationNew clinicians are expected to be present for a week of orientation, which may include remote modules.
