Industrial Maintenance Electrician

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in McAllen, TX . This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking to join a team where strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills are valued.

Location: McAllen, TX
Pay: $21.50/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Employment: Temp-to-Hire

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and electronic components.

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for machines and equipment, including robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.

• Connect wiring and cables between machines, equipment, and power supplies.

• Troubleshoot transformers, motors, lighting, relays, switches, and position-sensing devices.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components, including printed circuit boards.

• Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors as needed.

• Plan and install facility wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine components.

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions.

• Maintain equipment in safe, reliable operating condition.

• Complete required documentation and support quality assurance requirements.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and proper PPE requirements.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.

• 5+ years of experience as an electrician or in electrical industrial maintenance.

• At least one certificate of completion related to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, HVAC/R, or building maintenance.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Experience operating or willingness to operate man lifts, forklifts, and articulated boom lifts.

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as needed.

• Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Excel .

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year certificate in a related maintenance field.

• Experience using a maintenance management system.

• Experience with industrial machinery and equipment maintenance.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
