Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty earth moving equipment
• Load and unload equipment such excavators, dump trucks, back hoes, and rollers.
• Drive a variety of trailer types including step deck and specialized heavy haul equipment
• Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Assist with securing oversized or delicate loads using appropriate tie-downs and safety measures
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on heavy haul operations and route driving
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to heavy haul.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as equipment trailers.
• Experience with equipment load & unload procedures using Excavators, back hoes, rollers, or other loading equipment
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy hauling, load securing, and equipment operation
• Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs in compliance with DOT regulations
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
