Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Varied 8 Hour Shifts

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role serves as a vital channel of communication between the patient and the assigned Registered Nurse, ensuring high-quality care and efficient patient management.

Responsibilities

• Render personal hygiene care and participate in the formulation and updating of the patient's care plan.
• Administer medications and treatments, including respiratory therapy modalities, while accurately documenting all actions.
• Implement and enforce infection control policies and practices.
• Organize time and effort effectively, exercising judgment in establishing priorities for care.
• Report incidents and changes in the patient's condition to the Registered Nurse.
• Respond appropriately in stressful, unusual, and emergency situations.
• Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients and their families.
• Provide patient instruction during hospitalization and upon discharge.
• Assist with the orientation and continued learning of new staff members and students.
• Maintain professional and clinical competence through active participation in continuing education programs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse Program with current licensure.
• CPR and ACLS certifications are required.
• Possess visual, auditory, and manual dexterity abilities to assess patient conditions.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn various computer programs utilized by the facility.

Schedule

This position requires varied 8 hour shifts, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to the needs of the facility and patients.
