Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Postpartum Duration: Not specified Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: 1+ years in Postpartum License: Active or conditional RN license Certifications: BLS, NRP (Lactation certification preferred) Must-Have: Acute care experience, availability to work every other weekend and major holidays Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Postpartum care. This role involves providing care for patients post-vaginal and post-C-section deliveries. Nurses will assist with intermittent postpartum magnesium and manage cases of postpartum hemorrhage. The nurse will be responsible for administering IV antibiotics, IV magnesium, PRBC, rhogam, and lovenox. Familiarity with specialty equipment such as Welch Allyn blood pressure monitors, venodyn machines, IV pumps, and breast pumps is essential. You will be part of a unit that accommodates both postpartum patients and newborn care. The environment requires a commitment to providing compassionate and quality care. This position does not have on-call requirements, but staff may volunteer to cover vacant shifts if needed. Flu vaccination is mandatory during the season.
