Field Technician II

Raleigh, NC Full-time ThinkTech is a Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) that helps businesses operate more securely, efficiently, and confidently through technology. Our team works directly with clients across a variety of industries, providing both strategic technology guidance and hands‑on technical support. We're looking for a Field Technician II who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with clients, and taking ownership of issues through resolution. This role is ideal for someone with a strong IT support foundation who wants to work across a variety of environments and technologies while serving as a trusted technical resource for clients. What You'll Do Travel to client locations to resolve technical issues that require onsite support Troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and common business applications Independently troubleshoot and resolve network, internet, and wireless connectivity issues. Diagnose and replace switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other infrastructure equipment. Serve as the primary onsite resource during client‑impacting outages and escalated technical issues. Coordinate with vendors, internet service providers, and client stakeholders to drive issues to resolution. Build trusted client relationships through clear communication, professionalism, and a solutions‑oriented approach Document work performed and collaborate with teammates to deliver effective client support Who Thrives Here You'll likely succeed if you: Take ownership of problems and enjoy seeing them through to resolution. What We're Looking For 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably in an MSP environment Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows, and Mac environments. Understanding of networking fundamentals including switches, wireless networking, VLANs, and firewalls. Ability to independently troubleshoot and manage onsite technical issues. Strong customer service, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with ability to travel regularly to client sites throughout the region Bonus Points For: Previous MSP experience ConnectWise or comparable PSA/ticketing platform experience Microsoft or networking certifications Experience supporting small and mid‑sized business environments Work Environment Frequent onsite client visits (typically 3+ days per week) across a variety of business environments Participation in an on‑call rotation (approximately one week every three months) Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in confined spaces when needed Occasional ladder use Compensation Base salary: $45,000 - $60,000 Eligible for profit sharing Overtime eligibility as applicable Why ThinkTech?
