Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with approximately four years of experience to join its Traverse City, Michigan office. This role offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated commercial litigation work, with significant responsibility from the outset. Duties Draft substantive briefs and dispositive motions. Manage discovery processes effectively. Take and defend depositions with appropriate support. Prepare witnesses for legal proceedings. Work directly with clients to address their legal needs. Requirements Approximately four years of commercial litigation experience. Strong legal writing and analytical skills. Experience with depositions and discovery. Comfortable managing assignments independently. Licensed to practice law in Michigan or eligible for admission by examination or waiver. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Michigan. Skills Excellent legal writing and analytical abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in managing complex legal tasks independently.
