X-Ray/CT Tech – Alexandria, VA

Facility: Springfield Healthplex
Shift: 12hr Nights, 1900–0730
Contract Length: 105 contract weeks available
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Cancellation Policy: Hospital may cancel 2 shifts per 12 weeks or less, and 3 shifts per 13 weeks or more, without penalty

Facility Details:

• Must be a dual-modality tech (CT and X-ray)
• Charting/Equipment: EPIC, Fuji PACS preferred, Visage PACS; CT unit — GE; X-ray units — Philips
• 0–15 studies/day (as high as 22, rarely)
• Common studies: CT of head, abdomen, pelvic, angio, extremities; X-ray: chest (portable), routine exams
• Strong IV skills required (no dedicated IV team)
• Covers CT and X-ray at Springfield Healthplex only
• Floor-specific orientation provided
• Pharmacy not 24/7
• Scrubs: Black

Weekend/Call:

• Backup on-call, 1 weekend per month
• 45-minute response time
• Holidays: 1 major, 1 minor preferred

Requirements:

• Active VA state license required at submittal
• 2+ years of experience preferred (minimum)
• Active BLS – AHA required
• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) required
