Description

To monitor subgrantees, grantees, or contractors for quality-of-service delivery and compliance with grant or contract agreements and regulations; provide technical assistance; perform related work. To provide a variety of office support functions which require in-depth knowledge of assigned program areas; perform related work. This position can be located at any IDL office within Idaho.

Position Responsibilities:

• Analyzes financial reports to determine if expenditures are in compliance with grant or contract guidelines.

• Reviews payment requests or expenditures and recommends approval/denial.

• Monitor subgrantees for completion of goals and objectives, for compliance with contract/grant agreements and regulations, and audit financial expenditure records.

• Develop and prepare narrative, financial, and statistical program reports.

• Responds to inquiries regarding grant or contract availability, requirements, and guidelines.

• Provide technical assistance for fiscal and grant management and interpretation of grant guidelines and regulations.

• Performs and completes grant related special projects.

• Maintain program records systems, billings, and payments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Some knowledge of grant or contract administration; bookkeeping.

Experience: interpreting, applying and explaining laws and regulations; interpreting narrative or demographic or statistical reports to ensure compliance with laws, regulations or requirements; collecting, organizing and evaluating data and writing a narrative report of findings.

Desired Qualifications:

• A desire to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers to fulfill the department's mission, goals, and values.

• Good knowledge of rules of effective business English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

• Experience: using alphabetical, numerical, or subject filing systems to include determining file names, setting up new files, classifying, labeling, filing, and retrieving; reviewing documents for compliance with established procedures; using a computer to enter and retrieve information.

• Excellent technical writing and critical thinking skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

• Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
