Instrument Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks an Instrument Sales Associate to support students, parents, and educators in our retail store. In this role, you'll guide customers in selecting band, orchestra, and other instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons that fit their needs and budgets. You'll learn product features, handle basic point of sale and rental agreements, and help maintain appealing, organized displays. Working in our collaborative, education-focused culture, you'll engage with local schools, promote events and lesson programs, and support a welcoming, inclusive environment where customers of all ages feel inspired to make music.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons
• Explain features, pricing, and options for band and orchestra instruments
• Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments at the POSMaintain clean, organized, and visually appealing product displays
• Support school outreach and events to promote music education
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to students, parents, and educators
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals
• Handle basic inventory tasks such as restocking and tagging merchandise
• Coordinate with repair, lesson, and school services teams
• Uphold company policies and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture
