Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH) ER is a 14 bed ER with a Fast Track area to accommodate up to 8 patients. We are Certified as a Stroke Ready Facility with The Joint Commission. The ER nurse patient ratio is 1:4. The ER is staffed with Nurse Techs, Monitor Techs, and RNs. We believe in a work life balance with our employees while providing our community the care they need. How you'll contribute:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for:

• Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• At least one year of previous experience in ER as a RN strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Handle with Care within one year of hire.

Hourly Range: $32.34 $43.66
