Previous travel experience highly preferred. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Description: Cheshire will not consider local travelers (those who reside within 50 miles of the facility). Do not upload a traveler who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment. Do not upload a traveler to any need on this desk who is going to request schedule accommodations (block scheduling, etc.). Typical patient day includes performing 45-minute evaluations and treatment sessions lasting 30 to 45 minutes based on diagnosis. Therapists will only treat one patient at a time. A typical day includes 2 to 3 evaluations and up to 11 treatment sessions (30 minutes in length). Physical therapy helps build strength, regain mobility, and improve balance. It can also reduce pain and prevent future injuries. You may treat a variety of needs, such as adapting to an artificial limb, elevating athletic performance, or recovering from surgery. Experience with standard PT modalities is expected. Experience with device-specific training will be provided. The patient population typically includes adults, but experience with all age groups is welcome. All requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at submission. Requests for time off after submission will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Ensure that all travelers uploaded to this position provide contact information and have voicemail set up on their phones. Travelers without voicemail will be redirected. Travelers may not take all holidays off. Two holiday blocks must be worked if scheduled/needed, including Thanksgiving and its weekend, Christmas and its weekend, and New Year’s Day and its weekend. Dress code allows for personal scrubs of any color or business casual attire. Athleisure/stretchy clothing is acceptable, but leggings and crop shirts are not permitted. Open-toed or open-backed shoes are not allowed. Ensure that all traveler's permanent address is included in their profile. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission, and the facility will not approve scheduling requests after the offer. Profile requirements include a work history, skills checklist current to one year pertinent to the specialty, active state license documentation, and active BLS documentation.
