Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Rotating Every-Other Weekend | Projected Start: July 20, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Utilize critical care thinking and clinical expertise to assess, plan, and implement care for patients presenting with a wide range of diagnoses including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 while delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care
• Operate critical care equipment and document accurately within a Cerner EHR system
• Rotate weekend hours on an every-other-weekend schedule and adjust hours based on census as needed
• Float to other areas within the scope of verified competencies as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS or ENPC certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Strong patient experience skills with patients and families; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
• Energetic, knowledgeable, and adaptable personality well-suited to a high-volume ED environment
