Nurse Practitioner NP / Physician Assistant PA

Position Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner NP or Physician Assistant PA to conduct one‑time, non‑treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Westminster, CO. Employment Details Employment Status: Full Time Compensation: This is a salaried position, paid bi‑weekly: $54.00‑58.59/hr Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑4:30pm Benefits: Competitive financial package with comprehensive insurance (health, dental, vision, life) and accrued PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) plan The role supports patient care during sensitive procedures where patients may request a same‑gender staff member. Required Qualifications Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of employment. Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified. Have a master’s degree or have successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good interpersonal skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Must possess basic computer skills. All on‑site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines. Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one‑time, non‑treatment compensation and pension exams. Capture responses during the exam through web‑based examination form(s); complete all documentation electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations. Conduct standard exams including musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory. May order and conduct ancillaries (X‑rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) on location or nearby. #J-18808-Ljbffr Matrix Providers Inc
