Eligibility Service Coordinator (Bilingual Required)

Primary Work Location Hybrid, requiring a combination of remote work and occasional onsite presence based upon business need. Candidate must currently reside within 1 hour or less commuting time from Hackensack University Hospital – 100 First Street, Suite 300, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Applicants unable to meet this requirement will be ineligible for consideration. Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments for financial assistance. Check‑in patients upon arrival and ensure all required documentation is available for processing while covering onsite. Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemails, and provide guidance on next steps. Assist patients by providing requested documents and materials. Meet productivity and quality expectations. Utilize multiple systems and databases to gather, track, and report patient information. Communicate updates to Eligibility Specialists on scheduling and patient workflow. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Complete special projects, as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Proficiency in English and Spanish. 6 months+ of experience in a customer service role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically. Ability to handle a heavy call volume. Work collaboratively in a team environment. Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and patient needs. Travel 10%. Pay Transparency Disclaimer Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The pay range is $19 -$21. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills.
