We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join a General Litigation Defense team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation defense, excellent analytical and legal research skills, and the ability to manage cases effectively. Experience handling premises liability, liquor liability, or other general liability matters is a plus. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters while contributing to case strategy, client service, and successful legal outcomes.

Requirements

• Manage general litigation defense matters from initial assessment through resolution.
\n
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
\n
• Handle discovery, depositions, negotiations, and trial preparation.
\n
• Evaluate claims, assess potential exposure, and develop effective litigation strategies.
\n
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
\n
• Maintain accurate case records and meet court deadlines.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n

\n
• 3–7 years of experience in civil litigation defense or general litigation.
\n
• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
\n
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
\n
• Experience with general liability defense preferred.
\n
• Experience in premises liability or liquor liability is a plus.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases independently.
\n
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Pittsburgh, PA.
\n
