Travel RN – Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) Washington, District Of Columbia Assignment Overview Job ID: P-728236 Start Date: Aug 17, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 3x12hrs (6:30–18:30) or Day/Evening (11:00–23:30) Hours: 36 hrs/wk Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring at least 2 years of cardiac and vascular surgical experience and completion of at least one prior travel assignment. Details Work in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit within a hospital setting Primary focus on cardiac and vascular surgical cases; may float to general surgery when cardiovascular cases are not scheduled Shift options: 3x12-hour Day shifts (6:30–18:30) or Day/Evening shifts (11:00–23:30) On-call requirement of 6 calls per 6-week schedule One weekend shift and/or one holiday required per 6-week schedule 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license in Washington, DC required Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac and vascular surgical cases required Experience with aseptic technique and case cart management required Crash cart experience required Experience with general surgery, ortho, ortho/spine, ortho/joints, urology, endoscopy, thoracic, neuro, GYN, neuro/spine, bariatrics, ophthalmology, plastics, podiatry, ENT, and transplant cases preferred Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information Scrubs are provided by the facility Flu vaccine required for all staff Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate Holiday coverage is required (1 holiday per 6-week schedule) Pay Estimated weekly pay range: $2,160 – $2,386. Weekly Wages: $684 per week. Weekly Stipends: $1,702 per week. Lodging: $175.15 per day for 7 days = $1,226. Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 per day for 7 days = $476. Weekly base pay is $2,386 per week for travel candidates; local candidates receive lower pay due to taxes. In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,160 – $2,386. The weekly pay shown in this posting reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and the higher end for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines.
