The nurse will perform direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments. The goal is to optimize patient care and comfort. The nurse must function within the scope of nursing preparation. Compliance with established guidelines of nursing practice is essential. Adherence to the state Nurse Practice Act and organizational values is required. The candidate should be a team player who values positive patient outcomes. Superior communication skills are necessary for this role. The anticipated patient ratio is 4-6 patients per nurse. Weekend work is required, typically every other weekend. At least one major winter holiday should be expected for work obligations. Orientation will be provided, and the nurse should be available for the entire week. The team will consist of individuals from diverse backgrounds working toward common goals.
