This position supports, promotes and furthers our goal of providing the highest standards of culturally relevant and sensitive professional service consistent with our mission.What You'll DoProcesses biweekly payrollsPrepares accounts payable and receivablesAssists with end of the month staff corporate card paymentsProcesses checks for financial assistance programMonitors paid time off for all eligible employees (i.e. vacation, EIB, bereavement, etc.)Runs reports such as employee census as requested by insurance broker and workers' compensationAssists with month-end closing corporate credit card reconciliationsAnswers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting dataProtects Agency's value by keeping information confidentialAssists with any special projects, tasks or duties beyond what is outlined here that may be assignedAssists HR with benefits administration tasks as assignedQualifications2-5 years of experience in payroll and accounting requiredMS Office skills including proficiency in Excel and WordTechnical ability to learn accounting software programsExperience with accounting/fundraising systems, especially MIP Fund Accounting/AbilaFR50 preferredExperience in the non-profit sector preferredExperience with Paycom HRIS preferredDemonstrates curiosity, eagerness to learn and growPossesses strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to understand technical forms and financial reportsAbility to collaborate and build positive relationships within and outside of the Accounting departmentExcellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentationAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.What We OfferJFS Dallas offers excellent benefits to eligible employees including health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid vacation days, both federal and Jewish holidays, paid parental leave, and a 403(b) match!Jewish Family Service (JFS) is an equal opportunity employer, complying with all applicable Federal and state employment laws and regulations, that exists to provide professional, effective, and affordable mental health and social services that promote lifelong self-sufficiency and well-being for anyone in need.
