Occupational Therapist School Setting in Middletown, DE

Job Description

Step into an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting elementary and early childhood students as a licensed Occupational Therapist. This onsite, full-time role spans the entire academic year, beginning with maternity coverage at an elementary school and providing evaluations at an Early Learning Center. Following the leave, you’ll transition to a consistent schedule focused on enhancing development for young learners at the ELC.

Key Qualifications:

Current Occupational Therapist license
Experience working in school-based settings preferred
Strong skills in conducting evaluations and delivering direct services
Ability to effectively support both elementary and early childhood populations
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Committed to providing services onsite; remote/virtual or COTA applicants will not be considered

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions to students
Conduct individualized evaluations, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth
Maintain thorough, accurate records and comply with all documentation requirements
Transition seamlessly between elementary and early childhood assignments to ensure continuity of care during the maternity leave
Support students’ development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills essential for school participation
