Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including pre‑trial, trial, and post‑trial phases.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior partners and cross‑functional teams.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation hearings, delivering compelling oral arguments.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal assistants, providing guidance on case tactics and professional development.
• Maintain accurate case files, timelines, and billing records in compliance with firm standards.
• Interact regularly with clients to provide updates, counsel on risk, and advise on settlement options.
• Stay abreast of changes in Singaporean law, procedural rules, and emerging legal precedents relevant to litigation practice.

Essential Qualifications

• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized university; admission to the Singapore Bar (or equivalent qualification in a common‑law jurisdiction).
• Active practising certificate and in good standing with the relevant law society.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and communication.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case‑management software.

Desired Experience

• Minimum 7 years of post‑qualification litigation experience, preferably within Singapore or comparable common‑law jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated experience handling high‑value commercial, contract, and corporate disputes.
• Experience in managing multi‑jurisdictional cases and coordinating with local counsel abroad.
• Prior exposure to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as arbitration and mediation.
• Leadership experience supervising junior lawyers or legal teams.
