Job Title

Registered Nurse – OB/GYN

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to low- and high-risk OB patients and stable newborns of 36 weeks gestation or greater in a Labor & Delivery and Postpartum setting
• Perform newborn stabilization and serve as circulator for cesarean sections
• Titrate drips including Pitocin and Magnesium per unit protocols
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate strips using electronic fetal monitoring systems; document and intervene as appropriate
• Float to other units as a helping hands RN or safety sitter (1:1) as needed, up to 0–3 shifts per week; floating does not include inpatient Behavioral Health
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation per unit scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications
• Experience with newborn stabilization and circulator role for cesarean sections
• Ability to titrate obstetric drips (Pitocin, Magnesium)
• Ability to read and interpret fetal heart rate strips
• Must comply with drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Philips fetal monitoring, EPIC, and OBIX electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Experience with neonatal respiratory support equipment including Neopuff, heated high-flow nasal cannula, and CPAP
• Prior experience in a Level 1 perinatal or nursery-designated facility
