A private busy couple in McLean VA is seeking a highly organized computer-savvy Personal Assistant / Property Assistant to provide day-to-day support with household operations maintenance contractors technology and general personal assistance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive resourceful and comfortable taking ownership of tasks. The ideal candidate is someone who can identify what needs to be done coordinate with the appropriate vendors or contractors and follow through to completion with minimal supervision.

About the Family

A private couple in McLean is looking for a long-term assistant who can become a trusted and reliable part of their household. The family values privacy discretion professionalism and someone who can work independently .

The couple travels frequently and their grown children do not live in the home.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day household and property-related tasks
• Coordinate home maintenance repairs and service appointments
• Communicate with contractors handymen landscapers technicians and other vendors
• Schedule and oversee contractors and service providers while they are at the home
• Follow up on ongoing maintenance projects and ensure work is completed properly
• Research and source reliable vendors when needed
• Handle household deliveries packages and related logistics
• Assist with purchasing returns and errands
• Keep track of household needs and proactively address issues before they become problems
• Assist with technology and computer-related tasks
• Troubleshoot basic technology issues and coordinate with IT or outside technicians when necessary
• Manage email calendars online accounts and other administrative tasks as needed
• Keep records of vendors appointments maintenance warranties and household projects
• Assist with organizing household paperwork and information
• Help coordinate travel-related household preparations when the family is away
• Work closely with the housekeeper and other household staff/vendors as needed
• Maintain a high level of organization and ensure tasks are followed through to completion
• Handle confidential family information with complete discretion
• Take on miscellaneous personal and household projects as they arise

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Assistant Household Manager Property Assistant Executive Assistant or similar role
• Experience coordinating home maintenance contractors vendors and service providers
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage projects from start to finish
• Must be comfortable working independently and using good judgment
• Must have a professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
• Must be highly trustworthy and discreet
• Private household experience is a plus
