Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Traveling Physical Therapist Role

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Wilson, NC at an outpatient clinic where you will evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and support functional return to community activities. You will provide discipline-specific direction, contribute to student learning when assigned, maintain timely and accurate documentation, and participate in quality improvement activities. Professional licensure, adherence to ethical standards, and commitment to patient and employee safety are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active North Carolina Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Competence in completing comprehensive evaluations, writing measurable goals, and developing treatment plans focused on functional outcomes.
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry preferred.
• Ability to supervise and provide instruction to students and support interdisciplinary team coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient clinic settings with musculoskeletal and community-return focused treatment programs.
• Familiarity with performance improvement processes and regulatory compliance.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 40 hrs/week; M, W, F 7:00–16:00; T, R 8:00–17:00.
• Duration: 13-week assignment.
• Position located in Wilson, NC outpatient clinic.
