As a Project Safety Manager, you will be working in the Advanced Technology market sector (semiconductor manufacturing). This role is responsible for the application of construction safety standards and regulations. Working together with the project management team and field supervision, the Project Safety Manager ensures that all work is completed in a safe manner to avoid risk of injury or harm.Successful projects do not complete themselves. We offer professional development opportunities, industry-leading benefits, and the chance to work on projects that will change the built environment forever.What you'll be doing:Provide support in incident prevention, including inspecting job site, equipment, onsite training, investigating, and authoring incident reports, and providing information on safety standards and work techniquesServe as the on-site Competent Person who performs frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials, and equipmentOversee additional safety professionals assigned to the projectSurvey the jobsite and provides advice and guidance to site superintendents and site employees engaged in a full range of construction activities including but not limited to confined space, hazardous energy control, fall protection and scaffoldingInvestigate all incidents to determine origin, root cause, and contributing factors and assists in the preparation of written evaluation reports concerning findingsCarry out safety education activities, promoting safety awareness, conducting daily and weekly Toolbox Talks; providing site specific training coursesConsult with technical specialists and program managers about changes in work processes and proposed methods to eliminate unnecessary risks and control hazardous conditionsProvide employees and managers the training necessary to recognize hazards and perform their jobs safely and effectivelyDevelop Activity (Job) Hazard Analysis's for all new major work processes or those processes that have the highest injury/illness ratesConduct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments as neededRecommend appropriate measures and methods to correct safety deficiencies noted; Investigate hazardous conditions, practices, equipment, etc., to identify and analyze the nature and severity of hazards and the possible remedial actions (elimination, correction, or protection)What you will need to be successful in this role:Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointPossess professional qualifications and knowledge of fall protections systems, electrical safety, permit-required confined spaces, excavation trenching and shoring, scaffolding, hazard communication, accident investigation and reportingEducation/Experience:10+ years of experienceOSHA 30-hourExtensive knowledge of the State/Local, OSHA laws and regulationsMay be required to pass security clearance investigation and applicable substance testing requirementsOSHA 510 certificationsAdditional safety certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OHSTExperience in the semi-conductor industryBenefitsCompetitive salaryComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits – 100% of employee premiums are paid by the companyGenerous retirement package includes: 10% retirement contribution made by the company and a company match up to 2% of your annual salaryProfit sharingDiscretionary annual bonusPaid vacation and holidaysHarder University training and development, as well as other paid professional development opportunitiesTeam environment that promotes individual growthHMC reserves the right to perform a drug screening and background check, as may be required, and this offer may be contingent on passing a drug screening and background check.
