Operations Manager- Service (St. Louis)

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Service in St. Louis, MO. Location: St. Louis, MO | Compensation: $105,000–$110,000 annually. Responsibilities Supervises superintendents and employees by providing direction and training, and communicating company policies, procedures and objectives. Includes hiring, and supervising performance management and progressive discipline. Administers company safety program, performs safety audits when necessary and stresses the importance of safety to all employees. Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and cost‑effectively. Ensures that NIM job audits are performed within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers; identifies issues that could affect equipment reliability and provides feedback and recommendations for improvement. Uses accounting reports and Map Point to review route management and callbacks; makes necessary changes to improve profitability. Provides technical input to sales staff on the scope of work and materials needed to bid repair work; calculates labor and material costs. Works with Branch Manager and service and repair Sales Managers to address customers’ needs. Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of all federal, state and local elevator industry code requirements. Maintains strong familiarity of company products by attending training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods; works with regional field trainers. Administers parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the industry. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent industry and management experience); or two years’ experience managing a branch departmental level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
