Job Summary Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties Performs daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end general accounting and internal and external reporting Prepares month-end and miscellaneous journal entries Adheres to departmental month-end closing schedule Assists with capital expenditures Performs periodic physical inventories and related inventory control procedures Coordinates with the Financial Controller and all operating departments the annual reconciliation of 1099 information and preparation of the documents. Responsible for substantiation of assigned general ledger account balances through account analysis including the reconciliation of subsidiary information Performs special projects as assigned Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions. Mustbeabletooperatethefollowingequipment: computer,printer,copier, 10keyaddingmachine,andtelephone. What You Will Need Accounting or Finance related degree preferred. Minimum of 2yearsaccounting experience. Knowledge of account reconciliation and general ledgerrequired Casino accounting experience preferred. Accountingexperience and ability to reconcile daily work and experience with month-endcloseprocessarerequired. Candidate must be a self-starter with strong analytical skills andcanwork independently. Must have experience (intermediate level) with MS Excel/Word/Access and 10-key. Must be organized andcanhandle daily deadlines asrequired. Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Detailorientatedand ability to multi-task. High degree of analytical problem solving. Experience with Word, Excel, and Access. Teamplayerwith the ability to collaborate with others. Understandingofgenerally acceptedaccounting principles. Candidateshould be customer service oriented withgood communicationskills. Experience with query-based tools, systems, and networks preferred Must be abletoworkweekends and holidays. Degree in finance or accounting preferred. Knowledge of Infiniuma plus. Previousaccounting experience in a hotel/casino environment preferred.
