Engineering Technician

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING Responsibilities Perform diagnostic evaluations and repairs on complex mechanical and electronic systems to ensure optimal performance and readiness. Conduct routine and corrective maintenance operations following established technical manuals and schematics. Prepare detailed maintenance records, test results, and corrective actions to support performance tracking and compliance requirements. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement upgrades and system improvements while adhering to DoD standards. Provide training and technical support to junior technicians during system integrations and operational testing. Requirements 3-5 years experience in an engineering technician role. High school diploma or GED. Demonstrated ability to perform intermediate-level engineering tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and testing of mechanical and electronic systems in accordance with DoD specifications. Proficient in using advanced diagnostic tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to identify and resolve system malfunctions. Skilled in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system troubleshooting and repair. Possess an active DoD secret security clearance. Desired Skills Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks to assist in system modifications and upgrades. Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies to enhance maintenance workflows. Strong organizational skills to manage and document system data, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics. Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide technical support during system installations and upgrades. Relevant military experience. Clearance Information SRC is a contractor for the U.S. Government; this position will require U.S. citizenship as well as a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level.
