Hiring Mig Welders / Fabrication Associates Immediately Pay: Up to $22/hour Weekly Pay! Shift: 2nd shift This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have recently completed a trade school, vocational program, or welding certification and are ready to begin a career in metal fabrication and manufacturing. You will perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components while receiving hands-on cross-training on fabrication equipment and production machinery. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel and other metal components according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. Prepare materials for welding by measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting parts to ensure proper alignment and fit-up. Inspect completed welds to verify they meet quality standards and specifications, and make adjustments as needed. Read and interpret basic blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately. Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently during daily operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the fabrication shop. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and best practices in welding and fabrication. Assist with general fabrication and production tasks, including material handling and basic machine operation, as needed. Participate in cross-training to learn and operate manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines, saws, presses, punches, and other fabrication machinery. Support team members, communicate effectively, and contribute to achieving production goals and deadlines. Demonstrate reliability, a positive attitude, and a continuous improvement mindset in daily work activities. Essential Skills Foundational MIG welding skills with the ability to perform welds on steel and other metals according to specifications. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Basic understanding of metal fabrication techniques and common shop practices. Mechanical aptitude and strong interest in manufacturing, fabrication, and welding processes. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring instruments such as tape measures. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills to ensure weld quality and accurate fabrication. Willingness to be cross-trained in machine operation, fabrication, and other production functions. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
