Position Title: Project Engineer

We're looking for a motivated Project Engineer to support project teams from preconstruction through closeout, playing a key role in document control, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and quality assurance. This is a travel-based position supporting projects throughout California's Central Valley, Sacramento region, and the Bay Area, offering exceptional career growth with one of the nation's most respected general contractors. Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000/ Year + Bonus DOE


Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, procurement logs, and construction drawings
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents with subcontract administration, scheduling, change orders, and project coordination
• Monitor project progress while maintaining accurate records, photos, inspection reports, and as-built documentation
• Coordinate distribution of drawings and specifications to subcontractors and ensure current project information is maintained
• Assist with quality control efforts to verify installations align with approved submittals and project specifications
• Track project costs, procurement activities, and schedule milestones to help keep projects on time and within budget
• Promote a safe jobsite by supporting OSHA compliance and participating in project closeout activities

Project Engineer Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer working for a commercial General Contractor
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field is strongly preferred
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects valued at $20M or greater
• Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, construction documentation, and project coordination
• Willingness to travel throughout California including the Central Valley, Sacramento area, and Bay Area as projects require
• Strong communication skills with exceptional organization and attention to detail
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management software is highly preferred
