Clinical Social Worker

The Clinical Social Worker provides social work services to the hospital patients and their families to address psychosocial and environmental factors which impact their healthy functioning and/or recovery. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team providing direct clinical services including assessment, brief intervention, and coordination of services. Develops a network of community agencies to facilitate referrals. The Clinical Social Worker assists in the development and implementation of department policies, programs, and procedures.

Qualifications and Specifications

• Master's Degree Required
• Field of Study: Social Work or related
• Experience in a healthcare setting or hospital strongly preferred
• RI Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• RI Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker strongly preferred
• LCSWs must obtain LICSW within a period of 3 years from date of hire
