Dosimetry – Radiation OncologyLocation: Medford, OR Work Model: Onsite (Day Shift – 4x10 schedule) Position Type: Full-Time The Dosimetrist will be responsible for designing and calculating radiation treatment plans to ensure accurate and effective dose delivery for cancer patients. This role collaborates closely with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to develop optimal treatment strategies using advanced planning systems and radiation therapy technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform isodose treatment planning using computer-based systemsDevelop radiation dose distribution plans to meet clinical objectivesCollaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical PhysicistsOptimize treatment techniques for accuracy and patient safetyUtilize radiation therapy systems and software for planning and executionMaintain and manage treatment planning documentation and recordsSupport integration with clinical systems and IT applicationsEnsure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standardsParticipate in continuous improvement of treatment planning processesMust-Have RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Physical Science or related fieldGraduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry Program (or equivalent experience pathway)Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) – required upon hireMinimum: 2+ years clinical experience (formal program) OR 3+ years clinical experience (on-the-job training pathway)Experience with radiation treatment planning systemsRequired SkillsStrong expertise in radiation therapy planning and dose calculationKnowledge of isodose planning and treatment optimizationExperience working with Radiation Oncology teamsFamiliarity with clinical systems and radiation therapy softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and patient safety focusCore CompetenciesClinical accuracy and precisionCollaboration and teamworkPatient-centered careTechnical and analytical expertiseCompliance and safety awarenessEducationBachelor's Degree (Required)Medical Dosimetry Certification (CMD – Required)
