Sheridan County School District No. 2 is seeking a positive, safety-conscious Substitute Bus Driver! No experience required - the District will provide paid training to obtain a CDL and required endorsements! This is a substitute part-time position, working Monday through Friday as needed. Hourly rate: $21.05.

Qualifications: Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug screen (FMCSR 49 CFR 391.41 Physical Qualifications for Drivers). Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain a CDL with a P, S, and Air Brake endorsement within one month of hire.

School Bus Driver

Job Goal: To transport students in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner.

Performance Responsibilities: Transport authorized students following assigned route schedules. Obey all traffic laws and safely operate a school bus. Maintain discipline when students are on the bus. Report undisciplined students to the proper authority. Keep the assigned bus clean. Check the bus before each operation for mechanical defects and report any problems to the proper authority. Inspect the daily route schedule; follow planned routes and time schedule. Complete any necessary paperwork promptly and accurately. Report all accidents to the supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned.
