Lead Custodian
Under the direction of the site administrator(s) and Custodial Supervisor, the Lead Custodian I coordinates and performs custodial operations at an assigned school site; ensures facilities are clean, safe, orderly, and operational; supports site activities and events; and plays a critical role in maintaining safe, healthy, and well-maintained learning and working environments that directly support student success and overall site functionality.
Supervision is received from the site administrator(s) or designee. The Custodial Supervisor provides program oversight, guidance, and direction related to custodial standards, procedures, and best practices. The Lead Custodian provides functional lead direction, process guidance and work coordination to assigned staff but does not exercise formal supervisory authority.

The Lead Custodian classifications are responsible for the ongoing coordination of custodial services at an assigned site. Incumbents perform the full range of custodial duties while providing functional and technical oversight of custodial staff. Lead Custodians serve as the primary site contact for custodial operations and facilities readiness.
