Qualifications:

• Current, active LVN/LPN license in California
• Previous experience in school environments preferred, but not required
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergencies and adapt to changing situations
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents
• Knowledge of school health policies, medication administration, and routine healthcare for school-aged children
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to supporting students’ health and wellness

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, professional nursing care to students during ESY/summer programming
• Monitor, assess, and document students’ health status and respond to their medical needs throughout the school day
• Administer prescribed medications and medical treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with faculty, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure students’ well-being and safety
• Keep accurate records in compliance with school guidelines and state regulations
• Provide health education to students and assist with the development or maintenance of health plans as needed
