What You'll Do

Prospect & Generate New Business Leads
Identify and connect with prospective customers through outbound calls, email, networking, referrals, and other sales strategies to build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.

Build & Nurture Relationships
Develop lasting relationships with customers by understanding their businesses, anticipating their transportation needs, providing consistent communication, and becoming a trusted logistics partner.

Promote Logistics Services
Educate current and prospective customers on MegaCorp's transportation and logistics capabilities and identify solutions that best support their supply chain needs.

Manage an Operations Team
Work alongside and provide direction to your operations team to ensure shipments are executed efficiently, customer expectations are met, and service issues are addressed quickly.

Conduct Market Analysis
Stay informed on freight markets, capacity, pricing, seasonality, and industry trends to help customers make informed transportation decisions.

Negotiate Rates & Terms
Negotiate competitive pricing and service terms with customers and carriers while balancing service quality, profitability, and long-term relationships.

Monitor Carrier Performance
Help ensure carriers meet MegaCorp's expectations for communication, reliability, safety, and on-time performance while addressing service issues when they arise.

Collaborate with Internal Teams
Partner with operations, carrier relations, accounting, claims, and other departments to deliver a seamless experience for customers.

Make Data-Driven Decisions
Use technology, reporting, market data, and performance metrics to evaluate opportunities, solve problems, and make informed business decisions.

Compensation and On Target Earnings:

• $40,000 - $50,000 salary
• 35% uncapped commission paid monthly
• Selling Year
  • 1 | $68,000 - $82,000
  • 2 | $100,000 - $135,000
  • 3 | $145,000 - $ 200,000

It's Great to Have These Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous customer service experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and communicate confidently with different personalities
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

It's Even Better to Have

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Previous logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience
• Previous sales or business development experience
• Negotiation experience
• Leadership or management experience
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform
