Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM/WM Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of Materials Management and Warehouse Management processes within a global SAP environment. This role partners with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, and technical resources to deliver scalable solutions across procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and integrated Order-to-Cash processes.

The ideal candidate brings deep SAP MM expertise, strong WM process knowledge, hands-on experience with batch management, materials requirement planning, and special procurement scenarios, and a solid understanding of MM SD integration. This individual will participate throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and logistics stakeholders to analyze current processes and identify opportunities to improve materials management efficiency.
• Design, configure, and support SAP MM and WM solutions that improve operational efficiency and inventory visibility.
• Support end-to-end procurement processes including purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and materials planning.
• Configure and support warehouse management processes including storage management, inventory movements, and outbound processing.
• Define and document functional requirements for batch management and materials requirement planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional regulatory compliance.
• Analyze and design solutions for special procurement scenarios including subcontracting, consignment, and stock transfer.
• Configure and validate SAP MM integration points with SD to support seamless order-to-delivery flows, accurate stock allocation, and dependable order fulfillment.
• Review and refine material master data structures including classification, units of measure, and valuation parameters to support reporting quality and decision making.
• Develop detailed functional specifications and partner with technical teams to deliver enhancements and custom solutions.
• Support supplier EDI integrations and troubleshoot transactional or interface issues.
• Execute and coordinate unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Participate in cutover planning, production deployments, hypercare, and post-go-live support.
• Support incident management and problem resolution by analyzing root causes within MM and MM SD integration flows and proposing sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material availability, and order cycle times, and recommend data-driven enhancements.
• Engage with global and regional teams to ensure master data standards and governance practices are consistently applied.
• Provide knowledge transfer and functional support to business users and production support teams.
• Collaborate with onsite, offshore, business, and technical teams to drive successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP MM functional consulting or business analysis experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong SAP MM configuration expertise across procurement, inventory management, and receiving processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in SAP MM batch management through prior implementations or optimization projects.
• Proven capability in materials requirement planning, including configuration of planning parameters and analysis of planning outputs.
• Deep understanding of special procurement processes including consignment, subcontracting, and stock transfer.
• Experience supporting SAP Warehouse Management (WM) processes and configurations.
• Solid knowledge of SAP SD processes and integration with SAP MM.
• Strong command of material master data concepts, organizational structures, and inventory control processes, including data standards and cleansing initiatives.
• Experience supporting supplier EDI flows and inventory-related business processes.
• Experience creating detailed functional specifications and supporting custom developments.
• Ability to perform ABAP debugging and work closely with development teams during issue resolution.
• Experience participating in multiple full-cycle SAP implementations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model with global and regional teams.
