Facilities Specialist

Responsibilities Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members Repair equipment as necessary and replace broken equipment, including all restaurants, bars, kitchens, lighting, and safety hazards Troubleshoot equipment, identify potential causes, and propose solutions Repair and replace broken equipment on the casino floor and associated venues Maintain and clean the facilities shop, office and equipment rooms, electrical rooms, compressor rack rooms, UPS rooms, warehouse, switchgear area, chiller and boiler rooms, wardrobe, and off‑site warehouse Repair and replace broken equipment, including air handlers, exhaust fans, FCUs, roof membrane; conduct preventive maintenance, change filters, replace belts, clean, lubricate, and remove snow when hazardous Demonstrate general knowledge of electricity and electrical components, use a multimeter, and troubleshoot/repair electrical equipment; assist leadership with electrical repairs and installs Demonstrate general knowledge of plumbing and plumbing fixtures; troubleshoot and repair plumbing problems; assist leadership with plumbing repairs and new projects Use carpentry and woodworking tools safely to repair furniture and fabricate products Perform all required general repair and maintenance duties to keep the property safe and operational Operate lifts and other facilities equipment and vehicles Use welding and soldering equipment, handheld tools, and shop equipment Work safely, using PPE, following Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out, MSDS, BBP, and PPE requirements, and report hazards Assist with snow removal, operating vehicles, plows, spreaders, and using walk‑behind spreader Take readings on vital equipment, record vehicle mileage and gas usage, and report damage Respond to facility maintenance requests from other departments, ensuring equipment functions properly Participate in emergency training and emergencies as directed Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming standards Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies Perform all job duties safely and responsibly Perform other job‑related and compatible duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to prepare, read, and comprehend documents Ability to write reports and correspondence Prior experience in general maintenance, electrical and mechanical experience preferred General knowledge of chemicals, maintenance tools, basic plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, lifts and assorted equipment preferred Ability to operate hand and power tools and emergency equipment Good oral communication skills, able to follow directions, and communicate clearly over handheld radios Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history Ability to acquire and maintain an appropriate gaming license Must be at least 21 years of age Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English. Mathematical Skills Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with all units of measure; use of common fractions and decimals; ability to use an adding machine; basic computer skills. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form, and handle problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Team members must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. Physical Demands The physical demands are those required to perform the essential functions. The team member is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and has specific vision requirements. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds, and must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varied work areas such as confined spaces. Work Environment The work environment is typically very loud, with unrestricted secondhand tobacco smoke exposure.
